I'll overwhelm 'legitimate fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for next month's bout.

Ex two time unified heavyweight champion Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I will break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will really want to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

Despite these statements, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally famous for his showmanship - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul rather attacked former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British opponent Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's largest financial successes, frequently receiving huge financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.

Physical Disparity

As Joshua and Paul participated in the customary confrontation, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it highlighted just how improbable this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is truly going ahead.
